Lyzotic

Lyzozymes are natural enzymes that hydrolyze bacterial cell walls, offering a powerful antimicrobial defense. They significantly reduce pathogenic bacteria like Clostridium perfringens and improve gut morphology, leading to better nutrient absorption and feed conversion rates. Bacterial cell walls are primarily composed of peptidoglycan, a mesh-like polymer of sugars and amino acids. Lysozyme specifically cleaves the beta-1,4-glycosidic bonds between N-acetylmuramic acid and N-acetyl-D-glucosamine residues in peptidoglycan. By breaking down these bonds, lysozyme compromises the structural integrity of the cell wall. The weakened cell wall becomes unstable, leading to cell lysis (the breakdown of the cell membrane and release of cell contents).
