In acute casse, Coccidiosis causes damage to the tissues of mucous membrance of the chicken’s intestine and birds die quickly. Eimeria Tenella cause haemorrhages, inflammation and epithelial loss in the caeca; and E. Necatrix in the small intestine. E. Maxima infest small intestine and E. Brunetti cause epithelial loss and sometimes small haemorrhages in colon and Cloaca, E.Acervulina cause epithelial destruction without haemorrhages.
