Each 100 gram contains:

Amoxicillin Trihydrate……50 gram

Product Description

The pencillins are among the earliest classes of antibacterial drugs. Modern poultry is suceptible to many health

challenges. These health challenges are provoked by a number of micro organisms. These micro organism include gram positive and gram negative bacteria.

Amoxicillin is a bacteriacidal antibiotic by inhibiting cell wall synthesis. Amoxicillin is stable in the gastro-intestinal tract and has higher absorption than nuturaly occurring penicillins when administrated orally. Cross-linked peptidoglycan layer of cell wall plys critical functions. it maintains bacterial cell shape and integrity and prevents cell lysis from high osmotic pressure. if the peptidoglycan layer is weakened or its synthesis is inhibited, cell lysis occurs or cell unable to replicate.

Susceptible genera include staphylococcus, Strptococcus, Clostridium, Escherichia, Klebsiella, Shigella, Salmonella and Pasteurella.

Amoxicillin is a broad spectrum beta-lactam antibiotic belonging to the group of penicillins. its bactericidal efect is based on inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls by ceasing (retaining) mucopeptide synthesis (Bibinding during bacterial cellmultiplication. it is active against Gram positive bacteria (non-penicillinase producing Staphylococci, Streptococci, Borynebacteria, Clostridia, Actonomycess spp. Bacillus anthracis, Listeria monocytogenes, etc.) and Gram negative bacteria (Proteus mirabilis, Pasteurella spp, Haemophilus spp, Actionobacillus spp, Escherichia coi, Salmonella spp, Moraxella spp, Fusobacterium, etc). Amoxicillin has a good absorption and diffuses rapidly into most tissues. it is excreted mainly with the urine where it exists in high concetration.

Infections caused by micro organisms susceptible to amoxicillin, such as infections of the respiratory tract, the gastrointestinal tract and skin infections in calves and poultry.

Dosage Packing:

Poultry: 20mg/kg body weight in the morning and to be repeated in the eveining.

Claves: 30-40 mg amoxicillin per kg body weight, twice daily.

In severe cases of salmonellosis the dose can be doubled.
